CRIME LOG: AROUND AND ABOUT

RopesEnd hasn't been able to pinpoint the exact locations of where these crimes took place, but we're hoping that the police know where the criminals are.

A man went into a drug store, pulled out a gun, announced a robbery, and pulled a hefty-bag face mask over his head and realized that he'd forgotten to cut eye holes in the mask.

A man successfully broke into a bank after hours and stole the bank's video camera.

While it was recording.

Remotely.

In other words, the video machine was located in another part of the bank, so he didn't get to watch himself stealing the camera.

The police, however, did.

A man walked into a Circle-K convenience store, put a $20 bill on the counter and asked for change. When the clerk opened the cash drawer, the man pulled a gun and asked for all the cash in the register, which the clerk promptly handed over. The man took the cash from the clerk and fled, leaving the $20 bill on the counter. The total amount of cash he was given from the drawer?

Fifteen dollars.

A criminal broke into the basement of a bank through a street-level window. In the process, however, he cut himself badly. After realizing that he could neither get the money nor climb back through the window he came in through, he panicked. Fearing that he would bleed to death if he did not get help, he found a phone and called 911.

A would-be robber carefully walked through the doors of a bank. That, however, would be the only thing he did right. He immediately tripped on a step, and his mask fell off. Then his foot got caught under the doormat, which caused him to slide across the floor to the counter. Staggering to his feet, a little confused, he waved a fake gun around and cried: "This is a stuff-up!"

A polite man went into a bank and stood in line just like any other customer would. As he got closer to the teller, he pulled out a ski mask and a gun, then waited in line a few more minutes so that he could rob the bank once it was his turn.

A gang of three geniuses decided to rob a bank, but as they tried to enter, they got stuck in the revolving doors. Frustrated, they left and returned a few minutes later. This time, they got through the doors and announced their intentions to take ten thousand dollars. Remembering them from a few minutes earlier, customers and employees of the bank laughed hysterically, thinking it was a joke. The men thought that everyone was laughing because they were demanding too much money, so they dropped the amount they wanted down to one thousand dollars. When that didn't work, they demanded one hundred dollars. Soon, the men were demanding one dollar each. When the laughter continued, one of the men became angry. He jumped atop a counter and pulled a gun on a teller, then fell and broke his leg.

His buddies decided to get away while it was safe.

They got stuck in the revolving doors again.

One wanna-be crook decided that a good way to rob a bank and not get caught would be by going through the drive through. Pulling up to the window, he wrote the teller a note, demanding money. The man even went so far as to hold up a knife. The woman, laughing hysterically, called the police and the suspect was eventually apprehended.
